Live & Unsigned
Live and Unsigned is the biggest original music competition in the UK and every year thousands of unsigned acts travel across the UK to audition. The competition has seen over 30,000 under the radar acts enter, in the search for the ultimate and best UK unsigned act. Judges for the competition include Radio 1 star Greg James, Urban DJ and presenter Ras Kwame, BBC Introducing’s Bethan Elfyn, Radio 1’s Annie Nightingale and the legendary Noddy Holder.
Each act has auditioned live in front of the judging panel with no demos or recordings! All genre’s are encouraged to enter the competition including pop, r’n’b, punk, rock and acoustic and those who have made it through the audition stage will perform to industry judges, A&R associates and celebrity guests in some of the UK’s best venues. At this stage the acts that make it to the Grand Final will get to share the stage with some of the UK’s best undiscovered musicians at the Live and Unsigned Festival at the 02 in London on the 10th July 2010. With the competition’s aim to find potential recording artists, the overall winner will be offered a management and recording contract with the potential to release their single and tour the country. There are plenty of other prizes up for grabs en route including festival slots, trips, video shoots, merchandise, recording time, equipment, coverage and much more. Previous winners of Live and Unsigned have gone on to pick up Vodafone Live Awards on national television and gain UK top 30 chart success!
