Get Into The Groove With Ash Soan

Ash Soan is a session drummer with a stellar list of credits to his name. He now plans to share his understanding of grooving with other drummers with his newly launched online ‘Grooves’, an aid for drummers wanting to better understand the art of grooving.

Ash has recorded a range of grooves that are now available to download via iTunes and Amazon. Each groove can be played at a reduced speed so listeners can hear the intricacies of each track. The grooves are accompanied by a click track and a range of percussion, allowing you to practise and play along with the grooves. Transcriptions of each groove track are also available to download.

Ash, a Yamaha endorsee since 1999, has recently acquired a new Club Custom Kit and he says: “I’ve been playing Yamaha since 1998 and they are the best recording drums I’ve ever played. I am really excited at the range of tones attainable from the new Club Custom. I love the deep lows which I use as my default sound in the studio. The high end is clear and pure too if a more resonant sound is needed.”
