Institute Unveils 2012 Drum Scholarship

Win a scholarship with The Institute, in association with Drummer, Mapex and Paiste

The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, Mapex, Paiste and Drummer magazine are proud to announce the launch of the 2012 drum scholarships programme. These soughtafter awards are for study on the Institute’s world-renowned one-year Higher Diploma drum course. There will be one fully funded place for the winner (worth over £5,000) plus a partially funded place for the runner-up (worth over £2,500).

The Higher Diploma is a specialist one-year full-time course, developed by the Institute to train and develop students of guitar, bass, drums and vocals for a career in the music industry. The Institute counts on an outstanding teaching and visiting faculty, many of whose contributors regularly work and tour with some of the music industry’s greatest artists. This faculty includes such names as Thomas Lang, Chuck Sabo and Dom Famularo.

The winner of the scholarship will have the support of Mapex/ Paiste and the opportunity to write a regular column in Drummer magazine.
