This year’s event, supported by Zildjian and the Birmingham Drum Centre, and in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust and Dyslexia Action, will take place on Sunday 6th November at the Warwick Arts Centre. Since 2007 some of drumming’s biggest names have graced the World’s Greatest Drummer stage, taking on the challenge of performing some of the big-band music that helped Buddy Rich and Louie Bellson define the modern drum set for generations to come. This year eight drummers will join forces once again in the name of drums, music and charity. Taking to the stage will be Steve Smith, Steve White, Darrin Mooney, Pete RayBiggin, Pete Cater, Steve Barney, Ian Palmer, and our youngest ever player Jake Brown, fresh from ITV’s BornTo Shine and mikedolbear.com’sYoung Drummer of the Year final. They will be joined by the Pete Cater Big Band – which includes some of the UK’s elite session fraternity and original members of the Buddy Rich Big Band – guest vocalist Abi Philips, and UK drummer Bev Bevan as special guest host.
Tickets now on sale from £20.
