New Shaw Portals

Shaw Percussion have announced the launch of the Shaw Portal, a brand-new range of mic hole surrounds designed to off er drummers a cost-eff ective and reliable way of making mic holes in their kick drum heads. Available in black or white, or with chrome or brass eff ects, Shaw Portals are made entirely in the UK from ABS plastic and feature the latest high-tech 3M adhesive for reliable, stable performance. Easy to fi t, Shaw portals use a Perma-Bond foam strip on the inside, enabling easy application to the bass drum head, the hole being simply cut using a standard 5” hole cutter, or using the template included in the Shaw pack. Initially available in standard 5” size, Shaw say both 4” and 6” sizes are on the way, as is a wider range of colour selections.
