More artists have been added to the line-up for the 2011 London Drum Show, on 15th and 16th October at London’s Olympia.

Taking to the main stage will be Gregg Bissonette, KJ Sawka of Pendulum and Jonathan ‘Ginger’ Hamilton. This announcement comes on the back of news that Thomas Lang, Dave Elitch and George Kollias are also confirmed to appear on the main stage.

Gregg Bissonette, who is currently touring with Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band (read Drummer’s interview with Gregg in issue 92), will be performing on the main stage on Saturday 15th October. Gregg has performed with the likes of David Lee Roth, Joe Satriani, Toto, Brian Wilson, Santana and many more, and has recently recorded with the Counting Crows and Duran Duran. Gregg’s performance is one that visitors to the show will not want to miss!

Also joining the stellar line-up of artists at this year’s show is Pendulum’s KJ Sawka, who will be appearing at the show on Sunday 16th October. KJ, who featured on the cover of last month’s edition of Drummer, is well known for providing the beats behind Pendulum’s unique electronic-rock sound, with his fusion of acoustic and electronic drums and percussion. KJ Sawka is no stranger to drum clinics and performances and will be appearing at the London Drum Show on the back of this year’s storming performance at the Download festival and the Glastonbury festival headline show.

Jonathan ‘Ginger’ Hamilton is fast becoming one of the UK’s most prominent gospel and R&B drummers. At age 18 he landed his first session working with Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland. Since then he has gone on to work with Pixie Lott, The Saturdays, N-Dubz and DJ Ironik. Jonathan is currently working with Peter Andre, VV Brown and Boy George and promises to be an incredible attraction for this year’s showgoers.

With Thomas Lang, Dave Elitch and George Kollias already confirmed to appear on the main stage, and a thrilling line-up in the MikeDolbear.com Masterclass Suite, featuring intimate masterclasses with the likes of Steve White, Ash Soan, Craig Blundell and Neal Wilkinson and Thomas Lang, this year’s show is set to be a sell-out.

All main-stage performances and masterclasses are completely FREE, on a first-come-first-served basis, for purchasers of a Saturday or Sunday ticket.

Furthermore, it has been announced that Shure will be officially partnering the show and providing microphones for all main-stage performances. Shure have an excellent reputation for live and studio microphones and offer a range of drum microphones and drum mic sets, catering for the needs of beginners all the way through
