Status Quo Festive Tour Drummer Magazine

On Saturday 3rd December Status Quo’s 11-date ‘Quo Festive’ arena tour kicks off at Birmingham’s LG Arena, with the veteran rockers promising “a line-up that ensures this will be the ultimate Christmas party”. Quo, who have racked up almost 45 years in the business, will be joined by singer Kim Wilde, whose hits include ‘Kids In America’ and a remake of The Supremes’ ‘You Keep Me Hangin’ On’, and ex-Move, Electric Light Orchestra and Wizzard leader Roy Wood on all dates. Quo, who have had more hit albums than The Beatles, were recently back in the top ten with their Quid Pro Quo album, and founder members Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt will be joined by long-time Quo drummer Matt Letley

(www.mattletley.com ), bassist John ‘Rhino’ Edwards and keyboardist Andy Bown, whose album Unfinished Business was recently released on Cherry Red Records. Those attending the promised three-hour show, in cities including Sheffield, Liverpool, Cardiff, London and Plymouth, can expect to hear new material alongside many Quo hits, and there’s a high probability that ‘I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day’ will get an airing too!
